Excellence in Teaching Award 1994
This award recognizes outstanding classroom teaching, seiminar and laboratory instruction, as well as student advising, thesis supervision, course design, curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
Professor Nicks was nominated by Communications Studies student Catherine Wood, who cited her "intelligence, approachability and enthusiasm" and her "ability to draw students into critical discourse and awareness."
