In 1986, when it was decided to relocate the facilities to its present
area, the opportunity to update and expand was present and it
coincided with changes that were in the planning stages at that time.
The department occupied the present location in the summer of 1987 and
with the developments of new technology, improvements and upgrades,
its activities and responsibilities have increased proportionally to
technological advances selected for introduction to the facilities and
implementation by the faculty.
