Language Learning Centre:
Student Services

Support is provided for about 4500 class/hours and 84,000 student contact/hours a year. Some of the most common and frequent services utilized by students are as follows

a) Student Independent Study (S.I.S.) hours. These are periods scheduled in the departmental timetable for students to conduct Student Independent Studies on the personal computers or on the audio equipment. Printing services are also provided during these hours.

b) Duplication Services. A tape duplication service of lesson materials is provided for the students.

c) Assignments and Projects support. Expertise and assistance is available for students in this area of studies. This may involve the use of our recording-room facilities, recording sound tracks from any video media, editing audio or video materials, implementing any hardware necessary and assisting in the coordination for final presentation.

d) Viewing Facilities. Accomodations are made for students for viewing and previewing of media materials associated with their studies. This service has also been extended to the various student language clubs on campus when required

e) Special Needs. Some specialized equipment is also maintained in the inventory for the physically challenged.
