Go on your own adventure! Take a class in Python. There are many free classes out there. Find one, sign up and complete 15 hours [approximately] of study. In some cases the source may allow you to pay a fee and then get a certificate. If you can afford to do this it is a good idea. Python is, and will be very important in the accountijng/finance area. If you already know how to program Python, then you need to take a class in R, same rules.
Evaluation: You must document your work and progress for us to review. If your source has a logon and saves your work, then you must share your id and password so we can review your progress. Of course, after we assess your mark you should change your password! If the source of the lessons does not maintain a profile, then you must document your work and provide a zipped file of the work you have done.
This assignment may change during the semester if needed. |

Short Essay 2. A key point
from class and the textbook is that improvement comes mainly from locating
and permanantly fixing errors.
1. In organizations you have
been a member of, have people thought of errors as bad but normal things,
or as things that can be removed permanantly if
you try? Describe why you think so and give examples.
2. In your experience did
management attempt to control errors with administrative controls or
physical controls. Assess the effectiveness of using administrative
controls to reduce errors.
Take no more than 2 hours to
write this informal essay. There are no points for grammer,
etc on this assignment, only for the thought
process.
