I am slowly putting up pictures of motorcycles that I have taken. I am not a professional photographer, nor do I have artistic talent. However, I do own a camera and can afford film and processing. The beauty is in the bikes themselves and I apologize if my camera work detracts. Enough apologies, have a look and download any that you might particularly like.
Here's a picture of my 1982 750 Nighthawk I sold this bike last fall, replacing it with a 1980 Yamaha XS 1100 Special. The background on this page is a picture of my XS.
Doug Bruce's old Harley. He traded this for some cash and a Triumph (see below).
Here are a few pictures of Doug Bruce's Triumph.
Here's Doug's 1951 BSA before and after restoration. What a beauty.
Frank and Paula's mopeds. I know these aren't bikes but are they ever cute (the mopeds, that is).
Here are a couple of pictures of Jim's HD.
The following photos were taken when I came across a group of Shriners getting ready for a parade in Peterborough, Ontario. Nice bikes and friendly riders.
I ran into the fellows in the following pictures on
Highway 20 one morning.
Blue Goldwing.
Back end of above, with rider.
Burgundy Goldwing plus two riders
Kawasaki LTD 500.
Here is a 1965 BMW R60/5 that I came across in Newcastle, Ontario. The owner has had it since 1973. He was a little put out when I told him that I photographed it, exclaiming "it isn't painted yet". Well, it is painted, with ford truck red (or maroon, or something). A beauty, just the same.
In 1998 I sold my family home in Peterborough, Ontario. My real estate agent, Richard Hawkins of Royal Lepage, rides a 1981 Goldwing. His previous bike was a nice little Honda 400.
Steven Elliott contacted me after finding the pictures of my Benley. Steven is a collector of vintage bikes and has the contract to supply them for the movie Austin Powers II. Here are a few pictures that Steven sent on to me.
A Here's Steven and Austin himself.
A Here's Steven's Benely..
A 1964 Suzuki K11.
A 1971 Servetta SX200.
The Servetta on the Austin Powers set.
Here is a beauty that belongs to my friend Pat.
I met Dennis (Denman) and Sheri Kurn on the web and we subsequently got together for dinner when they visited Niagara Falls. They live in the Texas and ride all year 'round.
Here's Denman on his 750 Virago.
Here's Sheri's 450 Rebel.
And here's Denman's new bike, a Suzuki GS500E.
