Rick's Hobbies

This is the page where I describe some of my distractions. My main distraction being motorcycles. My bikes have included, in chronological order of acquisition:

a 1979 Honda CX500 Custom (sorry, no pictures)
a 1982 Honda 750 Nighthawk
a 1980 Yamaha XS1100 Special
a 1978 Yamaha XS1100 Standard
a 1967 Honda CB160 (the Honda Benley)
a 1984 Honda V65 Magna (no pictures of this one, yet)
a 2000 BMW R1200C Avantgard Cruiser (my current ride).
a 1966 Garelli American Sportbyke. For more pictures go to my Garelli Restoration Pages.
a 1967 Moto Guzzi Sport 125. This one I just picked up in April, 2002.

The XS11 bikes have a major cult following (the cult being a collection of great folks on the net). The group is well served by the XS-XJ Owner's Association Page.

I bought my 1978 XS1100 in summer of 1998 while I lived in Peterborough, Ontario, for a while. When I picked it up for $200 (Canadian) it was a real mess and restoring it to running order took a couple of months but was a lot of fun. I kept track of it on my Restoration pages.

Having a long history of bikers in my family I have put together a small family photo album. Check it out.

I have a small motorcycle picture gallery on my web pages. The goal is to photograph motorcycles, and hopefully their owners, and put them up in the gallery. Click here to have a look.

I have started a gallery of doodles made with Adobe Illustrator 7.0. I don't pretend to be an artist but I do like to doodle. Click on the thumbnail below to go to the doodle page.
