F. H. Bradley
 1846 - 1924
 
- British idealist and critic of empiricism whose works cover metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, and logic
 - Spent entire academic career at Oxford
 - Influenced by Hegelian and Kantian philosophy as well as by Utilitarianism and Pragmatism
 - Numerous essays; books included Principles of Logic (1883), Appearance and Reality (1893), and Essays on Truth and Reality (1914) 
 - Very influential in late-19th and early-20th-century Anglo-American philosophy
 - Students included G. E. Moore and Brand Blanshard
 -  (T. S. Eliot wrote his dissertation on Bradley's work but never made his oral defence.)
 - After his death, his work fell into disuse with the rise of analytic philosophy and logical positivism
