This
screen is an example taken from the database CINAHL Plus Text:
1.
The default search type "basic" means that whatever you type into the "enter
a word or phrase" box will be looked for in any of the database's searchable
fields.
2.
In the search example given here there have not been any limiting features used
to narrow the search.
3.
Assuming your search was for the topic "The differences in qualitative patient
care for AIDS patients in community health care environments", and you did not
have many keywords in mind to search for, the "basic" default searching strategy
would probably be the best place to start your search.
4.
If you were unsure of the appropriate keyword terms to use to start your search,
the "subject list" option might be a good place to look for ideas.
5.
This search will look in the entire CINAHL Plus Text database for the terms
"aids" and "qualitative" for whatever articles are on this topic that have been
published from 1990 to present.
